Viralize is provided by Gabriel Williams ("we", "us"), based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data collected through Viralize, meaning we decide how and why it is used.

Data we collect and why

• Account data (name, email, login credentials, Google sign-in profile) — to create and run your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Video links you submit and the AI results — to provide the Service and enforce plan limits. Legal basis: contract.
• Usage data (scans made, plan, timestamps) — to run usage limits, improve the product and prevent abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser identifiers, logs) — for security and fraud prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: contract / legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails, only if you opt in. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw any time.

Who we share data with

• Service providers who host the app, store data, run authentication and provide AI processing.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where required by law.

We never sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) to protect it.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active, and delete or anonymise it within 90 days after you close it, unless we must keep it longer by law (e.g. tax records held by Paddle).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your data, request portability, and withdraw consent. We respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and make the site work. We don't use advertising cookies. You can clear them in your browser settings, though you'll be signed out.
